Ho-ho-homemade bark

Homemade white chocolate pretzel bark, yum!

Homemade white chocolate pretzel bark, yum!

At this time of year we like to spoil our clients with a special holiday treat. This year we headed to the Plumbheavy Test Kitchen with visions of chocolate bark dancing in our heads. We experimented with six recipes and the undisputed winner was a scrumptious white chocolate bark with Skor bits, crushed pretzel, dark chocolate drizzle, and a sprinkling of sea salt. Here’s the recipe to make some of your own:

6 cups white chocolate
½ cup Skor bits
1 cup pretzels, crushed
1–2 tsp coarse sea salt
½ cup semisweet chocolate

Melt the white chocolate in a double boiler, stirring often. When there are no more lumps, pour the chocolate onto a foil lined baking sheet. Gently shake the pan from side to side to get a smooth, even layer. Sprinkle the Skor bits, crushed pretzels, and sea salt over the chocolate while it is still warm. Place the pan in the refrigerator to set.

Once the bark has hardened, melt the semisweet chocolate and pour it into a piping bag. Pipe the chocolate over the bark in a zigzag pattern. Return the pan to the refrigerator to allow the drizzle to set.

Remove the bark from the fridge and cut or break it into bite-sized pieces.

We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday from the Plumbheavy Design Co. team! See you in 2015!
